Description:
Alternative Asset Investment Management, LLC is the premier capital raising firm in the hedge fund industry. We are looking for candidates to fill our internship positions each semester. The focus of this internship is resource development work which includes fund raising, marketing, special events, and data management. Classes are held weekly on various aspects of the hedge fund industry. Interns will be exposed to a variety of different tasks that would collectively serve as a thorough introduction to the hedge fund industry.
Candidates need not have prior business or event planning experience, but they need to be ethical, hard-working, and have the ability to see tasks to completion without supervision.
Job responsibilities include:
- Contact management/internet based research
- Assist on development and execution of special events
- Solicit and acknowledge sponsors and contributors
- Assign duties before, during, and after the event
creating marketing presentations using Word and PowerPoint
- Maintaining client and investor records
- Conducting in-depth research on hedge fund managers and fund of funds
- Performing statistical analysis for clients
- Writing legal and due diligence documents
- Other administrative and marketing support tasks
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate study in marketing, business, public relations, management, financial development, Economics, Finance, psychology, sociology, or communications; or a strong interest thereof
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Ability to work independently, analytic skills, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and have flexibility
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel applications and the internet
- Ability to work well with others
- Self-starter
- Bottom Line Oriented
- High Energy & Highly Motivated
